Slimane has been selected to represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö with the song “Mon amour”. • Slimane will represent France at Eurovision 2024 after being internally selected by France Télévisions. The news was revealed today by Alexandra Redde-Amiel, Head of Delegation for France, on Le 7/10 on France Inter Radio. • Slimane Nebchi, better known simply as Slimane, was to Algerian parents in Chelles in the Greater Paris Region. He began uploading covers to Youtube in 2009. He came to public attention after winning the fifth season of The Voice: la plus belle voix in 2016. His debut album “À bout de rêves” (At the end of dreams) was certified double platinum in France. His following three albums also went to number one in France. • The song that Slimane will perform in Malmö, “Mon amour” (My love), will be released tonight during the 20:00 news on France 2. • La Zarra represented France with the song “Évidemment” in Liverpool.
