Today we're going to be going behind the scenes. • Here we are in the nave of the Chapel Saint Louis inside the palace and as you see, we get to go in the nave, which is not the case for most people. • I love being a tour guide and specifically on the Prestige Tour, because I get to open the doors that we're not supposed to open. • We are in the bathroom of Marie Antoinette. How come there's a bed in the bathroom? For the reason that in those days, doctors would say that taking a bath would weaken your body, so after taking a bath, you had to lie down. • Now we arrive behind Marie Antoinette's bedroom. So Marie Antoinette fled through here, going from her bedroom to the Salon of the Bull's Eyes, and to the king's bedroom when the palace was attacked. • Louis XV was very well known for having many, many mistresses, but Madame de Pompadour is the main one. She was treated like she was a queen, even though she wasn't, and that's why she was hated. • Here we are in front of the Petit Trianon. The Petit Trianon is Marie Antoinette's estate. Queen Marie Antoinette used to say that when she was at Trianon, she was not the Queen, but she was herself. • This is the hamlet. The idea was to recreate a village of Normandy.
