The journey aboard the (then known as) East Coast HST from Edinburgh Haymarket to Aberdeen. This video a repackage of the original clips from New Years Eve 2013. • Part 1 features the crossing of the Forth Bridge from Edinburgh Haymarket to Inverkeithing (0:00:00) • Part 2 features the remainder of the journey from Kirkaldy to Aberdeen (0:16:05) • The stops were: - • Leuchars (0:37:34) • Dundee (0:44:24) • Abroath (0:59:53) • Montrose (1:16:00) • Stonehaven (1:35:01) • The HST's have since been replaced on the East Coast Main Line by Class 800 Hybrid Diesel/Electric Multiple units. • The train operating company 'East Coast' was privatised to Virgin in 2015, who then walked away from the contract in 2018, so the railway is once again government operated, with LNER revived as the operating name, as East Coast was government operated.
