The Cosumnes Fire Department‘s 24-week fire academy is located at our state-of-the-art Fire Training Center. Fire Recruits will be challenged physically, mentally and academically, through rigorous training in firefighting techniques, rescue operations, hazardous materials, emergency medical training and much more. • Upon successful completion of the Fire Academy, the Recruits meet the current state firefighter standard and become probationary firefighters.
