Malcolm Young's super tight rhythm work requires some pretty fast chord changes from time-t0-time, but other than that, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap is one of the easier AC/DC songs from a rhythm guitar standpoint. • You will want to make sure you understand the slight difference between Malcolm and Angus Young's guitar parts during the pre-chorus, but other than that, their rhythm guitar parts are identical. • Angus Young's solo is quite a bit more difficult to play. He starts off with some blues based melodic phrases before launching into a fast descending legato lick based around the B minor pentatonic scale. This fast lick is easier if you can see the repeated pattern that he is sequencing through the scale. I will demonstrate that pattern which will make it easier for you to practice. • The second half of the solo showcases a 3 note legato lick that is chromatically moved up the fretboard one fret at a time. After you get the feel of the lick in your hands, the real hard part will be to keep your hand relaxed enough so that your hand doesn't run out of gas by the end of the legato section. • I hope you guys enjoy learning this great early work from the incomparable AC/DC! • R.I.P.
