Meri Chen, MD, is a radiologist with RUSH. She specializes in ultrasound, CT and MRI, including hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal and genitourinary imaging; vascular, obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound; and thoracic imaging. In this video, Dr. Chen discusses interpreting diagnostic images to aid in disease diagnosis. While some conditions are uniquely identifiable through imaging, each case, such as appendicitis, presents differently, allowing her to either exclude or directly diagnose certain diseases based on the images.
