Adding a reducer sleeve to your vehicle is gonna allow you to be able to use your two and a half inch accessories and your three inch receiver. So your sleeve is constructed of high carbon steel with a pretty decent powder coat. Just the life that any towing accessory is gonna live is a life of being beat up, thrown on the ground and everything. So eventually that powder coat's gonna scratch, you just hit it with some spray paint, some rust resistant paint and just head on down the road. Now the way that it fits into your receiver, it just basically doesn't add a lot like some additional reducers will. • • So with my tape measure, adds about two, you come out two and a half inches from the center of your pin hole. So that's not gonna add as much. If you're looking for something that's just kind of like your standard duty, standard use. This is a great product. Now we have two reducer sleeves here. • • The Curt is gonna be a more compact standard duty, easy to use, just pops right in, not very intrusive. It will just fit right into the receiver and it's gonna actually have a minimum of the amount of vibration that it's gonna have within the receiver once there's a shank in it. Comparing that to the Draw-Tite, it's gonna do the same thing. You're gonna get that reduction, but it's a much more solid and hefty piece of metal. It's also a little bit longer 'cause it's 10 inches. • • That's how much more you're adding to the back. So comparing that to the two and a half inches that you get from the Curt, you're right at seven and a quarter inches from the center hole with the Draw Tite. So if you need something heavier duty, this may be the option, but just general duty, something that may spend most of its life in your bed, this is a great option for you. So overall, Curt always makes solid products and I think that this is a great opportunity to add that flexibility to use your two and a half accessories on your three inch receiver. So again, this is Ed with etrailer.com taking a look at the Curt three inch to two and a half inch reducer sleeve. • • Have a great day.
