Laudate Pueri (Psalm 113) brings the greatest change of mood so far, set in a minor key, it is a brilliantly executed fugue. This is the only movement for chorus alone, as voices enter with the dominance of the descending scale with various lines of the text. The mood of the movement is intense with its stern counterpoint. The final 'amen’s demonstrate energy and the characteristic Mozartian touch. • Laudate, pueri, Dominum; laudate nomen Domini. • Praise the Lord, ye servants: O praise the Name of the Lord.
