Know all about the Indus River / सिंधु नदी through the Map | by @Eduflation • Indus River originates from the Bokhar Chu glacier near to Lake Mansarovar Kailash Range in Tibet at an elevation of about 5182 m. • It enters in India's Ladakh at place called Demchok. • In Ladakh, the Indus River flows between the Zanskar Range and Ladakh Range. • In Tibet, Indus River is known as ‘Singi Khamban,’ or the Lion’s Mouth. • In Ladakh it joined by Zanskar River and Shyok River. Shyok river originatss from Karakoram Range and Nubra river is the tributary of Shyok River. • It flows for about 2900 km and it ends into the Arabian sea. The length of the river in India is 800 km. • At Mithankot in Pakistan, the Indus River receives the combined waters of the five tributaries of the Jhelum River, Chenab River, Ravi River, Beas River, and Satluj River as the Panchnad River. • 🔴 The Indus River, a lifeline for the South Asian region, plays a pivotal role in agriculture and supports the livelihoods of millions.
