Kingston A400 240GB: https://amzn.to/2JtvhdJ • Follow me 👾 • Twitch: / socialhardware • Streaming every Friday night! • Instagram: / socialhardwareofficial • -Behind the scenes and competitions! • ✍️If you have any questions, comments or feedback please let me know! • 👍Thanks again for watching and consider supporting the channel by either smashing the like button or subscribing to the channel! • 🤜I will see you all in the next video! • If you have an old PC or Laptop with a clunky old mechanical hard drive or a fairly decent PC with a small capacity SSD then now is the right time to be considering an SSD purchase or upgrade. • I had been using a Samsung SSD 840 EVO 128gb for many years now and while technically there was nothing wrong with it, I was often having to manage my space carefully as with a full Windows 10 installation plus updates and my Adobe applications and a few other things I was constantly running out of space. • When I saw that I could pick up a whopping 480GB SSD for just over $100AUD it was too hard to say no. • The Kingston A400 SSD has theoretical maximum read speeds at 500MB/s and write speeds of 450MB/s but when I tested this drive I was constantly getting slightly higher on the reads and slightly less on the writes but not always ( as the benchmarks show ) which is on par with what I was getting with my Samsung 840 EVO. • Ultimately this drive is an absolute bargain IMO and the performance is absolutely fine. • I can now store locally all of my favourite games, the entire Adobe suite and whatever else I want without having to worry about space. • So considering it’s coming up to Christmas I think you should do yourself or someone you know a favour and get yourself an SSD.
