it just happened at a sudden for me, this girl is everything and i snapped to her ironically a year ago today. and no, the song isnt called 22 years. thats how many years shes been flying in the skies. • • it just doesnt come to me how forgotten these whales like her just disappear and never come back, no they were alive and deserved to be remembered. shes one of them, i know that from my heart. • • according to one article, Katerina died in the evening, so as im writing this from my ela class, shes still alive.. but not for long. and it hurts me. i hate when people spell her name wrong, its not that hard. i was scrolling thro yt under Katerina orca and i got this mep that had a list of forgotten whales. the person spelled her name Katrina. • Its dumb in my honest opinion, i know im like really attached to her like anyone could be with trua or malia for reference, but u get my point. if ur gonna do something, do it with pride and make sure its right unless u have TRIED to find the answer. thats the problem with most fights and stuff. besides, wikiapedia says Katerina was transferred from orlando straight to san antonio, which in this video, theres LITTERAL PROOF thats wrong. ig i kinda wasted a lot eating little bites and editing the list of captive orcas on wikiapedia with the other crazy (irl friend) until she launched captive orca wiki and from there i guess i just stopped. • • i originally started editing this when if found the song just under a month ago and couldnt wait to release it until i found more footages. i used footages that i KNEW were her, and if u dont think so, then fight me. ill probably prove u wrong anyway. yes, if u look at other meps u will get whatever (winnie blowing bubbles most likely) • some people ask who katerina was, so heres a quick explanation: • born on the 4th of november, 1988, Katerina was one of three whales in the trio of births and the second daughter and calf of katina. she grew up at seaworld orlando, with her father being kanduke,. in 1991, however, she was moved to seaworld ohio to replace her older sister, kalina(baby shamu), who had moved to the park the previous year. in 1994, san antonio was looking for a new whale, and winnie had moved the year earlier(who was a bit larger than kayla, which was two weeks younger than Katerina, part of the trio of births, and moved the same day as katerina to ohio as a replacement for samoa who moved with kalina). the stadium became a bit crowded as it was also the dolphin stadium, so they moved katerina to sea world san antonio. there, she met haida II, kotar, kyuquot, and kalinas calf keet(kalina moved to orlando). she could have also met hadias newborn female calf, but this is unlikely(she died in december 1994 and was born the same week katerina moved). in 1995, kotar died, and 4 years later, katerina suddenly passed away on the 5th of May, 1999. • • ik her story by heart, no articles needed.
