Hey Guys, I made this video a while back to show you what I did to fix my buzzing AC unit. The contactor on the outside unit was the problem. Here's a link to the one I used. You can click this link and search for yours from there: https://amzn.to/2LrDpg3 Mine was a Goodman unit, but you should be able to search for your specific model from that link, it may be in the other parts section . Anywho! There's a spring that gets energized when the unit turns on. That had welded together. Every so often I'd have to kill the power to the inside and outside units, test for electricity, and break the weld loose (about once a week). After a year of doing this I decided to bite the bullet and replace it myself. It took me about 45 minutes to replace the contactor and the capacitor. You can do it, just be SAFE above all things. Make sure there's no power to the unit. Turn off your MAIN power, pull the outside fuses, and pull the power inside also. Double and triple check with a multimeter that there is no electricity. • If you'd like to support the channel: https://cash.app/$BreakFixRepair2022 • contactor: Replacement for Goodman Single Pole / 1 Pole 30 Amp Condenser Contactor B1360321 https://amzn.to/2LnMeFT • double pole contactor: CONT2P030024VS https://amzn.to/2Pc79gb • This video is for demonstration purposes only.
