The Western Cattle Egret is usually seen in fields foraging around large grazing mammals. They do however nest in colonies near bodies of water. Here is an example of the chaos that sometimes breaks out at these colonies as individuals squabble over nesting sites and mates. • A Little Egret (with a similar appearance except with a black bill) is also seen in the video and Cape Weavers can be heard nesting nearby. • #blissfulbirding #wildwednesday
