When you think of Badjao what comes to mind? Here in Tawi-Tawi I found out something fascinating about women here in a Badjao community along the coast of Bongao Island. They are incredible at weaving! • In this video, you will see me visit a local Badjao community and spend time with some of the local women in their home. Through weaving, they create these incredible banig designs... If you didn't know, a banig is a hand woven mat that can be used for a variety of purposes. I actually received a banig as a gift two years ago from friends who call Tawi-Tawi home!
