Vegemite and cheese scrolls an aussie superfood and the story of vegemite • G'day everyone and welcome back to the channel. • Today I am cooking an Aussie Classic, Vegemite and Cheese Scrolls. These are great and any Aussie will love them, also a good way for non aussies to try vegemite, remember we are raised on this wonderful stuff as babies. • Ingredients • 4 Cups Plain Flour • 2tsp salt • 2tsp sugar • 1Tbs dry Yeast • 2Tbs skim milk powder • 1Tbs oil • 1 1/3 Cups Warm Water • Vegemite to spread with • 4 Cups cheese • • Combine dry ingredients, oil and mix. • Add in the water and combine to a soft dough adding additional water if required. • Turn out onto floored bench and need to develop the gluten, about 10 minutes or until the dough springs but after being touched. • Proof for 40minutes until doubled in size. • Roll out to 1 (6mm) thick rectangle. • Spread with Vegemite fairly thickly, then sprinkle on the cheese. • Roll up and cut to 1 1/2 roulades. • Place on baking paper cover sheet and allow to proof again until doubled in size. • Place in 220C (428f) oven for about 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. • Allow to cool slightly and take a big bit, YUM • • Enjoy and Thanks for watching • Any questions that you have feel free to contact me via: • Email • mailto:[email protected] • Webpage • https://downunderfarmandforge.com/ • Facebook • / downunderfarmandforge • Music: Rain • Musician: @ikonmusic
