It is also a healthy recipe that you can make at anytime of the day. It tastes best with jeera rice or pulao. • Prep time: 30 mins • Cook time: 45 mins • Number of servings: 4-5 persons • Ingredients • Toor Dal - 1/4 Cup • Moong Dal - 1/4 Cup • Masoor Dal - 1/2 Cup • Water • Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp • Ghee - 2 Tsp • Oil - 1 Tsp • Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp • Red Chili - 2 Nos • Asafoetida Powder - 1/2 Tsp • Curry Leaves • Onion - 1 No. Chopped • Green Chili - 2 Nos Chopped • Garlic - 1 Tsp Finely Chopped • Ginger - 1 Tsp Finely Chopped • Tomato - 2 Nos Chopped • Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp • Kashmiri Red Chili Powder - 2 Tsp • Salt - 2 Tsp • Kasuri Methi • Water - 1 1/2 Cups • Garam Masala - 1/2 Tsp • Coriander Leaves • Method • 1. Wash and soak all the 3 dals combined together for about 30 minutes • 2. Add a pinch of turmeric powder and pressure cook the dals for about 3 whistles • 3. Open the pressure cooker after the pressure is released from the cooker, mash the dals well and keep it aside • 4. Heat a kadai with some oil and ghee, add cumin seeds, asafoetida, red chilies and curry leaves, roast them • 5. Next, add finely chopped ginger and garlic and green chilies and saute them • 6. Add onions and saute them till they are golden brown in color • 7. Add tomatoes and cook them until they are soft • 8. Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, kasuri methi and mix them well • 9. Add the cooked dal and mix well • 10. Add enough water and bring it to a boil • 11.
