#IDENTITY #VERIFICATION #UNEMPLOYMENT • When you are asked by the EDD to send in photo id and other documents to verify your identity, this often happens with people having the same name or possible duplicate claims, or possible identity theft issues. This video talks about what documents you can mail or fax to Unemployment and what mistakes people often make when making a photocopy of the documents. • EDD is a mess right now with people waiting for more than 4 weeks for their ID to be confirmed. I've heard of horror stories with people receiving letter from EDD with the same name and location info but an entirely different social security number. My best advice is to try to get a direct fax number with extension to fax in and have your claim processed faster. Good luck.
