A look at Maidenhead railway station on the morning of Saturday 14th August 2021. • Maidenhead is situated on the Great Western main line between Slough and Reading. The station is served by Great Western stopping services between London, Reading and Didcot Parkway and the Marlow branch as well as TFL Rail services between London Paddington and Reading. The TFL Rail services will eventually travel beyond London via the new crossrail Elizabeth line link to destinations such as Shenfield and Abbey Wood. Being on the Great Western main line, fast trains between London Paddington and destinations in the west of England and South Wales can be seen passing through. • At the start of this video, we see two charter services. Firstly we see 'The Cambridge and Norwich Explorer' with the outward working from Eastleigh to Norwich hauled by BR class 37 numbers 37402 'Stephen Middlemore' and 37069.
