The show was held by the Poole and District Model Railway Society at Poole Grammar School, Dorset, UK on the 20th October 2024. A great show filled with 14 layouts and plenty of traders. • The layouts featured in the videos are as follows: • 1) Crib Lane (G scale) - Fictitious motive depot featuring locomotives from various railway companies and time periods. • 2) Lower Exbury (4mm/P4) - This represents the terminus of the S. Hants Light Railway in July 1952 represents a twig serving a river wharf and off scene brick works. By 1952 the future was uncertain and only light traffic remains. • 3) Sarah's Falls (2mm/N) - Canadian based layout refurbished by the East Dorset N Gauge Group after being donated to the group by a local family. • 4) Sandy Shores (4mm/009) - Fictional 009 industrial layout set somewhere on the south coast of England in the 1950s. • 5) Coconut Grove (3.5mm/HO) - An industrial track set in Miami, Florida. The area showing decline but the railway is still busy. • 6) Roberts Railway Repairs (all gauges) - A trader who specialises in model railway locomotive repairs and DCC decoder installations including sound. • 7) Kinmundy (4mm/EM) - A Scottish branch line during the early autumn in the 1960s after an unusually sharp frost. • 8) Brassingdale (4mm/OO finescale) - OO finescale LMS fictional location set in 1930s Derbyshire. • 9) Fareport Wharf (4mm/OO) - Fictitious port along the south coast of England incorporating a shunting puzzle and viewer interaction. • 10) Fareford Depot (4mm/OO) - Modern era traction depot based on the 1980s to present day. • 11) Sturminster Newton (2mm/N) - N gauge Somerset and Dorset based railway in 1966. DCC controlled using JMRI and a laptop. • 12) Upbech St Mary (4mm/EM) - Based in East Anglia in the 1940/50s, it is a light railway featuring Midland and Great Northern lines, with ex Great Eastern rolling stock. • 13) Brockleigh (2mm/N) - Based in Somerset on the Taunton to Barnstaple line prior 1960s. DCC controlled with a laptop. • 14) I 'ad That (3 Rail) - A 21ft x 5ft layout which pays homage to the Hornby Dublo three rail system, which ceased production in 1964. It is fully automated with two low level and one high level continuously running loops. • 15) Bournemouth West (4mm/OO) - A finescale Somerset Dorset based layout set in the 1960s. Featured in Railway Modeller Magazine (UK) October 2024 Volume 75 No 888.
