I am with www.uniquevanities.com. In today's video, I wanted to give you some tips on how to care for a glass vessel sink. We are selling more vessel sinks nowadays. This is one of the questions we get because of their uniqueness. It's not something that you see in many homes. So how do you take care of it? Well, glass vessel sinks are by far probably the easiest because really all you need is a soft cloth and just some mild soap. Dish soap is perfect, just a really mild dish soap. All you need to do is just get either your cloth. You can just mix the soap and water right in here and you can just wipe the inside of it and then make sure that you thoroughly dry it because glass does streak. In addition, you also need to clean the outside of the vessel sink. Especially if it is top-mounted on the countertop. This isn't something many of think about because most sinks, you don't ever the see the underside. But when you have top-mount vessel sink like this it is going to get dirty underneath and it's important that part of your regular cleaning includes cleaning the underside. • But you really need to take notice of the properties or the style of the finish of the vessel sink. So all of them are different. Many sinks are just glass. But this particular example is got a foil finish underneath it. You can actually feel the foil when you run your hands across it. So it's really important here is that you do not scrub. You do not use any type of abrasive or sponge on it. You're not going to want to do that on your glass anyways. But this you could easily scratch off the finish, which then will come through in the top as far as what you see. So just, pay attention to that. Be very gentle with it. It is really easy to care for but it is important that you could scratch off this finish. • One thing that I, a general rule of thumb that I encourage people is to not use any general bathroom cleaning products in your bathroom if you could avoid it. Nowadays, there's a lot more parts coming out that aren't full of chemicals but there's a lot of products that have chemicals in them that are just not good for natural stone. If you really do need to use a cleaner that's got a chemical in it, you're going to want to spray it on your cloth first and then wipe or clean whatever you need to. What you don't want to do is spray chemical cleaning in the bathroom because all of that over spray can actually do damage to a lot of pieces in a bathroom. So just a few tips there, hope this helps.
