The Mazda CX-3 has finally been launched in South Africa and after reading the wide and extensive praise the car received in international press, I was very excited to finally get to grips with the crossover. • At over R320 000 for the top spec model, the CX-3 commands a premium price but the car does not disappoint. The interior is, for my money, the best in the segment. Everything from the extensive leather work to the super comfy, plush seats is of a premium quality. • In this video, we’ll take you through a detailed look at the newcomer, as well as comparisons to its close rivals in the segment, namely the Honda HR-V, Nissan Juke, Renault Captur and Jeep Renegade. • What you won’t see in the studio however is how fares out on the road. Suffice it to say that ride quality is again arguably best in segment. The car achieves that sought-after mix of comfort and handling prowess which makes it both a nippy day-to-day vehicle and comfortable long distance cruiser. • Those sporty lines have their downsides though, which are best shown visually. Let us know what you think of the new Mazda in the comments below. • 0:00 Intro • 0:20 Pricing for Mazda CX-3 • 0:44 Front Interior • 1:02 Rear Interior • 1:23 Mazda CX-3 vs Honda HRV Boot Space • 2:02 Engine, Power Torque • 2:20 Fuel Efficiency • 2:28 Ride Quality • 2:44 Competitors • 3:01 Outro • • Mazda Cx-3 2.0 Individual Auto (South African specs) • Price: R325 900 • Engine: 2.0 naturally aspirated petrol • Power: 115kW • Torque: 204Nm • Gears: 6-speed auto • 0 – 100km/h: Not specified • Fuel economy: 6.1l/100km • Boot space: 264/1260 litres (seats down) • Airbags: 6 • Stability Control: Std • USB: Std • Bluetooth: Std
