The prefix koyaanis– means corrupted or chaotic , and the word qatsi means life or existence , literally translating koyaanisqatsi as chaotic life . • Vessels was written for (and performed by) the renowned vocal sextet The Western Wind along with members of the Philip Glass Ensemble.
