Lighting and flying sky lanterns or Kongming lanterns on Mid-Autumn Festival nights is a Chinese tradition tracing back to well over 1,700 years ago. These lanterns are expected to carry good-luck wishes and important messages to beloved ones in far-away places. • On Tuesday night, 800 sky lanterns were lit and flown from New Taipei in China's Taiwan Province, all with blessing words and phrases. • Lantern makers at New Taipei have concocted a new array of lanterns, with a bigger one representing the Moon and 100 much smaller ones representing the stars of the Mid-Autumn Festival nights. • http://www.cctvplus.com/news/20171005... • • Subscribe us on Youtube: / cctvplus • CCTV+ official website: http://www.cctvplus.com/ • LinkedIn: / cctv-news-content • Facebook: / newscontent.cctvplus • Twitter: / cctv_plus
