In this video, we are going to show you how to make a super simple carbonated Hop Water! This carbonated hop water recipe works great with our Hop Water Carbonation Kits - Shop Carbonating Kits - https://www.kegoutlet.com/carbonating... • There are many methods and techniques in making hop waters, but this one is one that we have found to be by far the easiest, and very refreshing. It will have an amazing hop aroma, and mild hop flavor, but no bitterness. • Begin by warming about 1 cup of filtered or RO water on the stove. You do not need to bring to a boil, just get hot enough to help dissolve the citric acid. Citric Acid in hop water will help to give it more of a zing and crisp mouthfeel. We add roughly 1/8 of a teaspoon for this batch which will end up being about 1.5 Liters. • Once dissolved in your liquid you can turn the stove off and add the hop oil. This distilled hop oil is extremely potent. If you love the smell of hops, and IPAs like we do, you will love this stuff. • Add 1-2 drops for this size batch. Give a stir and you are ready to blend with the rest of the water. • We are using a 2-liter mini keg to carbonate and dispense the hop water from. Anytime you carbonate make sure that your water is as cold as possible. CO2 absorbs much better in cold liquids than warm and will help speed up the carbonation time. • Combine your ice-cold water and hop water mixture and pour into your carbonation vessel. Attach your dispenser head and you are ready to start force carbonating. • You may notice we are only filling our 2L vessel with about 1.5L of liquid. • It is very important that you leave a little bit of air space in the vessel you are going to be carbonating in, otherwise, you will not be able to add a sufficient amount of CO2. • We generally carbonate around 35 PSI. Attach the ball lock disconnect to the post on the mini keg and pull the pressure relief valve a few times. This will purge out any oxygen in the keg, and replace it with CO2. This is very important in achieving a higher level of carbonation. • If you are trying to carbonate quickly, you can shake the keg for a couple of minutes. This will help force the CO2 into the liquid much faster. If you have more time, you can achive higher carbonation in the liquid if you can leave your system attached to the CO2 overnight or for longer in a refrigerator. • Once carbonated you can begin dispensing by simply pulling the handle. Our kits come with a flow control faucet that restricts the flow from the faucet. • If the dial is pointed backwards, this is the off position. If pointing forward this is fully open. • Begin by having it in the off position and open pull the tap handle. The liquid should come out slowly or not at all. Then you can slowly begin opeinig the flow control dial to a point of a good flow. • Shop Carbonating Kits - https://www.kegoutlet.com/carbonating... • #hopwater #hopwaterrecipe #homemade #mineralwater #soda • 0:00 Intro • 0:22 Recipe • 1:15 Carbonation Tip • 1:30 Recipe Continued • 1:40 Carbonation Process • 3:20 Dispensing Flow Control Faucet • 3:47 Enjoy! • 3:55 Outro
