After furiously studying and thinking of creative ways to re-imagine Departures, I've honestly grown a bit detached from it. However, delving deep into the core of this song, tearing it apart and rebuilding it has given me a level of satisfaction I've yet to feel after completing my other arrangements. I was constantly barraged with new ideas left and right-- new ideas that wouldn't have existed if it weren't for the amount of time I spent studying.
