The tanking process was exactly the same and the office has been completely dry and damp free since I converted it back in summer 2019. • I really rate KA tanking slurry as a damp proofing product. For less than £100, I was able to completely damp proof this shed, and the dried slurry should protect from any type of rising damp or penetrating damp in the future. • Materials and tools I used for this job are as follows: • 3 x 25kg tubs of KA tanking slurry • 1 x bag of builder’s sand • 1x bag of cement • Wire brush • Wallpaper scraper • stiff brush • Mixing whisk drill attachment • Wire brush drill attachment • Cordless drill/driver • Bucket • This was a nice simple job, that turned a cluttered damp space into a clean dry storage space, that can now be used much more effectively. • Now that the tanking is done, I will be adding some timber shelving to organise the space better. The shelf building video will be posted about a week after this one. So, keep an eye out ;)
