Here's a list of 5 of my favorite films from 1944. • Lifeboat- One of Hitchcock's unsung classics. The entire film takes place in the lifeboat of a torpedoed merchant marine ship. Tallulah Bankhead, Walter Slezak and John Hodiak lead the ensemble cast in what is one of Hitchcock' most inventive and thrilling films. • Meet Me In St. Louis - A beautiful slice of turn of the 20th century life. Vincent Minelli directs Judy Garland in one her most beloved roles. • Gaslight - If you never appreciated the pure and dynamic talent of Ingrid Bergman then you need to watch Gaslight. Co starring Charles Boyer, Joesph Cotten and Angela Lansbury in an Oscar nominated role. • Laura - A Classic of film noir with one of the most famous paintings in screen history. With Gene Tierney as the titular Laura, the woman who is the face in the misty light. . . . • Curse of the Cat People - Less of a horror and more of a fairy tale, this film is a sensitive examination of a lonely child trying to find a place to fit in. • For another year of favorites check out 5 FAVORITES FROM 1968⬇️ • • Video • Want to talk about the classics check out this playlist: • Classic Film Analysis • #classicmovies #oldmovies #classichollywood
