Normally we don't like it when a cutscene takes control away from us. But we gladly put our controller down to watch the five cutscenes on this list. Get ready for our five favorite cutscenes in gaming! • 5. Tanya escaping - Command and Conquer: Red Alert • Our younger selves had no idea the live action cutscenes in Command and Conquer: Red Alert were intentionally cheesy. We just thought they were cool. Especially the one where Tanya escapes from her torturer… • 4. The Sending - Final Fantasy X • The Final Fantasy series is known for its great cutscenes so it's hard to pick just one. But we have to go with Yuna’s sending in Final Fantasy X. Stunningly beautiful and full of emotion we absolutely love this piece of digital art. • 3. Revolver Ocelot - Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater • Metal Gear Solid is another franchise that's famous for having epic cutscenes. There are over a whopping seventy-four hours of cutscenes in all the Metal Gear games combined. Our favourite is this one with Revolver Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. We can't get enough of watching him spin those guns. • 2. Mission 1 - Devil May Cry 3 • Dante is such a badass in the opening cutscene of Devil May Cry 3 its almost laughable. This scene gives a good look at what the series is all about. Cool stylish over the top action. Dante effortlessly takes on a group of demons while eating pizza. It doesn't get much better than that. • 1. Opening cutscene - World of Warcraft • Blizzard are true masters of creating beautiful cutscenes. Just look at the awesome stuff in Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3. But the opening cutscene for World of Warcraft has to be our favorite cutscene of all time. We played this cutscene so many times when the game came out. It got us pumped and filled us with wonder and awe. Good job Blizzard, good job. • What are some of YOUR favourite cutscenes?
