Anand was only 14 when he opened this shop to sell idli and chatni to support his family in his village Hoskote, his village located in about 35 km from Bengaluru. Customers requested him to make biryani too on Sundays. What began as a tiny 2-kilo experiment 21 years ago has evolved into a massive kitchen that sells nearly a thousand kilos of mutton biryani on Sundays. And in doing so has placed Hoskote on the map for biryani lovers who don't seem to mind waking up at an unearthly hour just to get here to stand in a queue for an hour or two for a plate of the fabled Hoskote biryani that runs out by 9 am and is sold only on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. I and my friends reached out to Hoskote at 4.15 am in the morning. In this video, we share our amazing experience at the hoskote Anand dum biriyani. • The taste and aroma of the anand biryani has attracted students, bikers, travelers, foodies from all around to hoskote. So make sure you go here to count yourself as one among them. The set up hasn’t changed much since it began all those years ago. But now it has a permanent roof and a larger cooking area. • If you are a foodie, don't mind waking up early in the morning and standing in a queue then hoskote anand biriyani is a must-visit at least once to taste the mutton biriyani. The biriyani is good and has a nice aroma with some good mutton pieces mixed with the rice. The price is worth for the quantity offered.
