Taiwanese boxer Chen Nien-chin won a bronze medal in the women's welterweight division on Aug. 7, marking Taiwan’s fourth bronze at the Paris Olympics. Chen, 27, lost 1-4 to China's Yang Liu. She is a member of Taiwan’s Indigenous Amis and Bunun tribes and began her career in wrestling before switching to boxing, becoming Taiwan’s first female Olympic boxer in 2016.
