Kinema of Dreams is an installation, animation, and projection produced with young creatives from King’s Lynn, inspired by the town’s history of cinema. • With projection, animation and creative writing by Edalia Day (National Theatre, Theatre Royal Norwich, Sundance Film Festival) and installation design by Lucy Marsden (Fish Fabrications, Laurence Edwards Studio, NUA), this work was cocreated by FUSE, Collusion’s collective of local young creatives (16-30). This twenty-strong crew have shaped the project through regular workshops from conception to exhibition, contributing stories, poetry, music, animation, projection and design. • Kinema of Dreams is part of Collusion’s WE ARE LYNN series of projects, which engages the young people of King’s Lynn as co-creators in the development of new public artworks that explore their identities through interactivity, light, sound and projection. • Director and Co-founder, Rachel Drury adds “Our WE ARE LYNN projects aim to empower the young people of King’s Lynn to feel connected to their town, and supporting their self-expression and well-being. We want to help amplify these young creativesir voices and share their creativity in a way that engages the wider community in their extraordinary take on the story of cinema in King’s Lynn ”. • This project is funded by Arts Council England, the Borough Council of King’s Lynn West Norfolk, Arts Council England, Norfolk County Council, Norfolk Norwich Festival, and the Geoffrey Watling Foundation. • Film by ‪@AlexThaxton‬
