This video shows one of Tamar Valley’s Rolls and Strolls routes – stile free walks that take you some of the most scenic parts of the Tamar valley. For more details and for similar walks visit • www.tamarvalley-nl.org.uk/discover-explore/walking/ • Churchtown • This stroll and roll is through the Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s Churchtown Farm nature reserve on the edge of Saltash. • It is graded as Access for Many route, meaning it is suitable for assisted wheelchairs and more robust, all-terrain type pushchairs and mobility scooters. • Assuming you’ve parked in the road outside Saltash Community School, cross the road into the reserve and take the path diagonally across the field. • When you enter the next field, a path on the left will take you to a viewpoint. From here, head back to the field edge path and continue onwards to the top corner. After a short, steep, and slightly uneven descent you join the road to and from St Stephen’s. • From here, take the path heading westwards. • When you reach the corner, the path starts to get steeper but as you descend you are rewarded with lovely views of Tremantle Castle and the Lyhner. • When you reach a field, you have a choice of paths, each one going to a seat and viewpoint. • Beyond the viewpoints, the paths get much steeper, and so retrace your steps back to the start. • To discover many more accessible routes in the Tamar Valley visit www.tamarvalley.org.uk/walking • #tamarvalley #churchtown #saltash
