A version of the Daiquiri was one of the early cocktails to be served frozen and made use of the electric blender, a relatively uncommon appliance at the time. Fred Waring, the noted bandleader, was an investor for a Miracle Mixer - a blender that could be used to make frozen cocktails, among other things.
