WHITEOUT in the Drumochter Pass Winter Hiking Scotland

This week we are out hiking in the Drumochter Pass, with views over to the remote Loch Ericht and the Ben Alder range we were in for a treat. The conditions were wild, with strong winds and waist deep snow! Snow Hairs were also spotted and a rare White Rock Ptarmigan! • The Pass of Drumochter meaning simply 'high ridge' is the main mountain pass between the northern and southern central Scottish Highlands. The two munros we tackled today were A'Mharconaich(975m) Geal Charn(917m).
