The SkySight Engineering DIY Macerator Pump Kit converts a standard household garbage disposal (NOT INCLUDED) into a macerator pump. This allows you to empty your RV holding tanks at home or the location of your choice. • Public RV dump sites are becoming harder and harder to find. And those that are available are often dirty from other users. The DIY Macerator Pump allows you to avoid the hassle of finding a dump site and the filth of public sites. • The macerator pump kit works on any 3-bolt flange mount style garbage disposal. The kit can be used on new or used garbage disposals. The Bagder 5 disposal is a recommended model but not required. • A garden hose is used to carry the tank contents to the dump location. A ¾” diameter hose is recommended to minimize flow restriction. When this hose size is used, the hose can be up to 100 foot in length and the pump can provide a lift of 7 foot. • The kit contains all the necessary components to convert a standard garbage disposal into a macerator pump (you supply the garbage disposal and the electrical power cord). Included in the kit is a unique, custom made stainless steel garden hose adapter and plastic mounting feet. • The unique garden hose adapter allows the user to connect the macerator pump to a garden hose without a series of fittings that adapt the standard garbage disposal tailpipe to a garden hose. • The custom feet space the garbage disposal up off the ground to prevent damage to the electrical cord that exits from the bottom of the disposal.
