This rock, known by the names Awalehela, Awalahela, is found when traveling from Bibila to Bulupitiya along the Iginniagala road. Among the mountains belonging to the dry region, Awala Hela, which is about 2625 feet high, is a difficult and dangerous rock to climb if you are not an experienced hiker. It is not advisable to climb this hela when the rock is wet. Since it is a mountain belonging to the dry region, poisonous snakes are abundant and fierce animals such as elephants, tigers, wild boars and wild boars may also be present. This mountain belongs to the province of Uva, and the provincial boundary that separates the east from Uva extends between these Awalahela and Amune Hela rocks. The small stream that originates from this mountain provides water to the Senanayake Sea through Hamanawa Oya. • Although no specific history has been found, the surrounding areas are considered to be the homelands of the tribal people. Legend has it that Nilgala, near Bulupitiya, was used as a herb garden by King Buddhadasa, who reigned during the Anuradhapura era. Gal Veddas who were skilled hunters who lived in caves and rocks, may have lived here. There are several medium-sized rock caves on the top of this mountain, which may have been used by other people as their homes. • Many numbers of mountains can be seen from peak of Awalahela including Amune Hela, Omunu Gala, Hela Gala, Walimbe Hela, Oyamada Hela, Viana Hela, Galoya Kadu / Uduperu Hela, Ull Hela, Nilgala, Danigala, Bulupitiya Hela, Guru Hela, Yakunath Hela, Madolsima Range, Madiagala, KokaGala, Dharaketiya, Vevabediperiya, Kirivanketiya, Hunnasgiriya Medamahanuwara Kanda, Dumbanagala, Kehelpatdooruwa, Yahangala, Dumbanagala. • Video Music by MFCC • / @mfcc
