Romans 7 Explained

Romans 7 has been debated since shortly after it was written. On a surface level the Apostle Paul seems to be openly confessing his on-going struggle with sin. But, this seems to contradict other biblical teachings, including what Paul himself just recorded in Romans 6. • Romans 7:19 summarizes the chapter well. The Apostle Paul said, For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. • Was Paul speaking of himself and the Christian struggle with sin? Or, could he have been speaking of his pre-conversion self, in spite of the present-tense language that he used? • Is there another option? • In this video I lay out the case for both of the main points of view on this passage, and then argue for a third view that uses the best arguments from each. • Let me know in the comments whether you agree or disagree with my conclusions.
