Cotman Watercolor Review and lots of comparison charts

In this video I review the Winsor and Newton Cotman watercolor paints. These are student grade paints and through the use of completed works and lots and lots of comparison charts I try to show how these paints compare with all the other brands I have tried. • I try to do this review following the same order and style as my colored pencil reviews. • First I talk about the Winsor and Newton Cotman watercolor paints. Then I show some samples of completed works sketches and later a completed coloring book page. Next I make swatches and talk about the drying shift with these paints. • Finally I compare the Cotman watercolor mixing charts and introduce my watercolor paint comparison charts. As always I compare these paints with all the other brands of paints I have tried. • In the end wether you should get these student grade watercolor paints depends greatly on the price and set that you want. I would not recommend the larger or more expensive sets for $75 price of the 48 half pan set there are much better and artist grade options out there. However, for the $10-$13 pocket sketchers box this is a good value for the money. • As always with all my reviews I use 140 pound 100% cotton watercolor paper for the swatches, mixing charts and comparison charts. This is done to show how the paints preform under optimum conditions.
