April is the first month of spring in Switzerland. You can travel to Switzerland in April if you like to see the weather change from winter to spring and if you like to admire nature waking up again. The weather in April is usually not predictable at all. You can expect both sunshine and rain in one day and sometimes there is heavy snowfall as well. • Because the seasons are changing, your activities are somewhat limited. You can still go out and ski, but the snow is not always fresh, also it is still a bit cold for hiking and you will find a lot of snow in the Alps.
