This is the main title sequence from City of Angels, the underappreciated 1976 NBC-TV crime drama starring Wayne Rogers (of M*A*S*H renown) as Jake Axminster, a self-protective private eye operating -- much to the displeasure of local cops -- in early 1930s Los Angeles. The show was created by Stephen J. Cannell and Roy Huggins. American mystery novelist Max Allan Collins has called City of Angels the best private eye series ever.
