A little while back I explored the old Standedge Train Canal Tunnels in Saddleworth. Standedge Tunnels are four parallel tunnels through the Pennine hills at the Standedge crossing between Marsden in Kirklees with construction starting in 1794 and finally opening in 1811. Standedge having been closed to all traffic in 1943, the canal tunnel was re-opened in May 2001 and only the 1894 tunnel is still in use today • Join this channel to get access to perks: • / @beardedreality • If you like the video please comment, like and subscribe :) • Another Video to Watch Abandoned everything Left Behind Lady Anne's House • Exploring Abandoned Old Lady Anne's T... • #urbex #abandonedplacesuk #abandoned • Let's connect... ### • Facebook - / beardedrealityurbex • Instagram - / beardedreal. . • Twitter - / beardedreality • Twitch - / beardedreality
