The New York Times editorial board has decided to take a break from calling for President Biden to step down, and late last week they published an editorial officially declaring Donald Trump unfit to lead. There is no doubt that Donald Trump's mental issues - both psychological and likely biological - are far worse than anything we've seen with President Biden, and the public needs to understand that Trump's mental deficiencies are dangerous for the entire country. Farron Cousins discusses this. • Link - https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/a... • Listen to our videos in an audio format by subscribing to our podcast: https://farronbalanceddaily.buzzsprou... • Don't forget to like, comment, and share! Please excuse any typos. • At the end of this past week, the New York Times editorial Board took a break from constantly, uh, uh, going after President Biden, and they decided to finally redirect their fire against Donald Trump and his probably too many to count deficiencies as a human being, and more importantly, as a person that wants to be the next president of the United States. And as the New York Times editorial board came to the correct conclusion, Donald Trump, as they say, is unfit to lead this country. Let me read you a couple excerpts from what they said. A once great political party now serves the interest of one man. A man is demonstrably unsu suited for the office of President as any to run in the long history of the republic, a man whose values, temperament, ideas, and language are directly opposed to so much of what has made this country great. Too many Republicans set aside their concerns about Mr. Trump because of his positions on immigration, trade, and taxes. But the stakes of this election are more fundamental or foundational. Excuse me. What qualities matter most in America's president and commander and treat chief, he has demonstrated an utter lack of respect for the constitution, the rule of law, and the American people. Instead of a cogent vision for the country's future, Mr. Trump is animated by a thirst for political power to use the levers of government to advance his interests, satisfy his impulses and exact retribution against those who he thinks have wronged him. He is quite simply unfit to lead. • It said, uh, the editorial board said it was a national tragedy that the Republicans have failed to set aside their longstanding values and that they're ignoring what former Trump officials have described as his systemic dishonesty, corruption, cruelty, and incompetence, and urged American voters to perform a simple act of civic duty in an election year. Listen to what Mr. Trump is saying. Pay attention to what he did as President and allow yourself to truly inhabit what he has promised to do if return to office. It's a lot of words, it's a lot of fancy words to dance around the issue that, yeah, Donald Trump's got some mental problems and they're mental problems that pose a threat to the American people and to the country itself, to the foundation upon which this country was founded to the very institutions that keep us safe. Donald Trump's mental issues threaten all of that. And let me contrast that with this because obviously towards the end of the week as well, president Biden has his press conference where he had a couple of gaffes, but he, he righted the ship and he kind of got back on message here. So here's our options. Yeah, we got a guy who's a little bit • Slower on the, on the left, right? He's definitely not what he used to be. He's not an eloquent, uh, eloquent speaker anymore. Can't move as quickly as he used to. And he forgets people's names and he mix his names up. All right. Is any of that a threat to the country itself? Like, is America going to crumble into dust because this guy forgets people's names? No. No, it is not, not to mention the fact that President Biden has surrounded himself with competent people. So even if he is suffering from some kind of disease that is making it to where he can't make the decisions, he's got smart people around him who can make those decisions. Okay? So I'm not worried about Biden's mental state. Trump, on the other hand, his mental state, which I believe is both psychological and biological. I think he has personality disorders, and I do think he's got some degeneration up here. And that's based on what mental health professionals have told us over the years. His mental issues go beyond forgetting people's names, which he does all the time too, right? Actually more so than Biden.
