The New MLB playoff format is a joke. The best teams in the game are being punished with a five-day layoff, and not being given equal footing when facing Wildcard teams. • Should Major League Baseball make a change? Probably. Will they? Probably not. There's too much money at stake. But is a more profitable playoff season worth losing the integrity of the postseason? • The regular season is meant to be played to get into the playoffs, and hopefully have an advantage once you get there. But, the bye is not an advantage. • The Braves have suffered the fate of losing to a Wildcard team two years in a row, both times being to the Phillies. Philadelphia got a taste of their own medicine this season, losing to another division rival in the Mets. After great seasons by both squads, should this be how their seasons end? • In 2023, the Rangers - who ultimately won the World Series, beat the Orioles in the Division series. Baltimore had over 100 wins, while Texas had 90. Shouldn't the regular season mean something? The Diamondbacks beat the Dodgers in the same round, Los Angeles having 100 wins...
