How to install air admittance valve under the sink in under 5 minutes. (Link Below) • After reading https://www.nycc-mag.com/top-air-admi... we decided to replace Studor vent with this Tuuber air admittance valve. My slow drain caused by no vent to roof or actually an improper clogged vent since my plumber said the vent was too far from the trap. It caused siphoning of my trap and the smell was so bad around the sink. • So I installed an air admittance valve in under 5 minutes. It's easy to install and improve my drainage system and sink drains faster now since installing the little AAV device. No bad sewer odors like before the air admittance valve eliminates the bad rotten egg smell completely. • This project started when a Studor vent air admittance valve went bad in my bathroom that builder contractor installed some time ago and I replaced that Studor vent AAV with the a different Manufacturer brand at the time and about a year later another air admittance valve went bad. • The most difficult part of it was choosing which Studor vent or what I discovered is actually an air admittance valve to buy. I wanted the best air admittance valve. There seemed to only be a few air admittance valves out there, Oatey sure-vent, Studor, and Tuuber. I already had not so great luck with Oatey and Studor, since studor vent was the first to go and then Oatey so I did more research and read many reviews (hundreds of reviews on over 25 websites) and finally after reading best air admittance valve - test reviews at https://www.nycc-mag.com/top-air-admi... we decided to replace with this Tuuber air admittance valve. It has a double seal in the valve and figured it had to be better, right? • Some reviews stated it was bigger than the others and we thought well, for the recessed box replacements it may not work out. I wanted the best air admittance valve but if it meant a bigger air admittance valve I would have to make many changes to the existing pipe. Well as it turns out, YES, it was much better, it was the best air admittance valve. It was an easy replacement for the recessed box air admittance valves and it's not much bigger than the Studor vent and other I had installed before it. So that was a relief. We also noticed that the air admittance valve just felt the best well constructed and so much higher quality when we removed it from the packaging. • I wanted to share this information and this video because I know how frustrating it was to first, figure out where the smell was coming from in the bathroom and the kitchen. And then being frustrated about the previous Studor vent replacement air valves not working and still failing. So this is my easy way of installing one and sharing my experience so that others can hopefully deal with less hassle in choosing and installing an air admittance valve. • Product Link: https://www.amazon.com/stores/TUUBER/...
