How To Pair Or Solve Garmin Tread Bluetooth Smartphone Pairing Problems

In this video I’ll show you how to pair your Garmin Tread to your smartphone. As of December 2021, this is not an easy process for my iPhone 12, so your mileage may vary. However, there is a specific sequence here that you need to get in order to get everything setup up right. • For this video, I had to redo the steps five times, so if you are encountering problems, I’ve detailed some of the steps that I’ve done on two occasions in order to get it paired properly. • I’ve tried this on firmware 6.80 and 6.90 with the same results. • The important thing to note is that you need to have the Tread device show up within the Tread smartphone app, not in the generic bluetooth pop- ups. Also note that the tread is sending out two devices to pair, so you need to pair the right one first, then the other will come along. I have no idea why there’s two devices to discover. • However, if you get it right, you should get to the Garmin Connect / Garmin Explore login screen. • From there, you can enable Garmin Explore on your Tread device.
