To replace a toilet seat you will need a large slotted screwdriver and an adjustable pliers. There are several styles on the market, but most will have a bolt and nut to hold the seat in place. Most of the hinges will also have a cover over the top of the bolt. • It is a simple project to unscrew the nut and pull out the bolts. I like to replace the old wooden seats with plastic, slow close seats.
