Simple home remedies can help in vomiting, one can be ensuring proper burping and keeping the baby in upright position for about 10 to 15 minutes and make the baby lie down on the back and avoid keeping the baby on the stomach and make the baby vomit out the milk content. Put the baby gently onto the couch so that there is no reflux of milk. The other cause of vomiting is overfeeding. So you can reduce the quantity of milk. So this overfeeding can be established only when the baby has been gaining weight and this is the only cause leading on to it he baby vomiting. Vomiting is of significance only when it is associated with fever and if it is forceful vomiting. If the vomiting contains blood then it can be due to sucking of blood form the cracked nipple or swallowed blood during delivery. If the baby has signs of dehydration then that is of concern, if the baby is lethargic and is not taking feeds well, then you need to consult a pediatrician or if there are recurrent episodes of vomiting, it needs to be addressed or if there are episodes of choking, or if there is a green coloured vomiting, which is an emergency condition. If the baby is not feeding well and if the baby shows signs of dehydration then it needed to be addressed. If there is abdominal distension and baby doesn’t pass stools, then it needs to be immediately taken care if the baby has recurrent episodes of vomiting or choking episodes and if the vomitus contains greenish color, then it needs to be immediately addressed. • #VomitingNewborn • #VomitingBaby • #OverfeedingMilk
