ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING THINGS YOU WILL EVER SEE. • Early to rise. 4:45am and we are off to the Grand Canyon. We drove out to the East on Hwy 89 just as the sun started to rise. The views in Arizona gave us yet another environment to appreciate. The sun rise shinning on the rocks was only a prelude of what was to come at the Antelope canyon area. Nestled within the Navajo Nation area there is limited access. Flash floods through this washout have carved through the sandstone creating a beautiful path with steep walls. From there it’s off to the Glen Canyon Dam. But wait... there’s more. Horseshoe Bend Park with yet another mile and a half hike up hill, both ways... yes you climb up a hill, and down to the bend, then back up. We spotted some lizards. It amazes me to see the people getting as close to the edge as possible. 2-3 people a year is the estimate. A quick stop at Jack in the Box and we are back on the road. All that by 3pm. You killin me smalls, you killin me. Are we there yet?
