An iconic French dessert Tarte Tatin🇫🇷 • After 7 years of marriage and first time making a Tarte Tatin as a New Year treat my French husband was so happy for that ❤️ • Recipe • Ingredients : • For garnish : • 8 Golden apples • 75 g of butter • 75 g of powdered sugar • 1 vanilla pod • For the dough: • I used puff pastry for croissants, the recipe you can find on my YouTube channel • Preparation : • The caramel: • Place a frying pan(which can be used for baking as well) on the medium heat. • Add the butter. When it is partially melted, pour the sugar and the vanilla pod seeds. Caramelize but do not let the mixture darken, this will give a bitter taste to your tart. • While the caramel is cooking, peel your apples and cut them. • Cooking the apples: • When the caramel is brown, place the apples in the pan. Pack well and cook for around twenty minutes over low heat. • Assembling the tarte tatin: • Roll out the dough on a floured work surface, to a thickness of 5 mm, giving it a round shape. The diameter of the dough must be a little larger than the diameter of the pan. • Place the dough on the apples then, using a small spoon, push the excess dough between the apples and the edge of the pan. • Bake the tarte tatin for 50 minutes to 1 hour, in an oven preheated to 170°C. • The dough should be nicely browned and the caramel should start to rise up the sides. • Immediately unmold your tarte tatin by turning it over. • Serve warm. • If you are interested in products and tools that I use in my videos, for those people on Amazon I created a shop list with all my tools and some ingredients. • Link on my bio ❤️ Thank you for your support ❤️ • #frenchpastry #howtomaketartetatin #tartetatinrecipe
