Hey guys, here's the raw footage from my live demo at Oz Comic-Con Sydney a couple months ago. To see the final check it out here: http://fav.me/d9bipk5 • In the demo I go through an introduction to concept art, creature and character design - and through a thumbnail sketching process in Photoshop I show how doing a whole bunch of small silhouette sketches first can create more original and creative designs for your final. I also get people to vote on which thumbnail sketch to choose, answer questions from the crowd and explain my process as I take the chosen thumbnail to a more finished colour sketch. I think it went really well and although it was only the second time I'd tried it I had a blast and am looking forward to doing more in future. • A big thank you to the Oz Comic-Con volunteers who helped out and the one in particular who filmed the entire thing on my phone camera. I'll see if I can try and redo the session sometime at home with a screen recorder going too to walk through the whole process.
